Turning Pro: UPDATE 4!
I've managed to finally get my Epassporte account set up. I immediately transferred my funds from Full tilt to Epassporte. They are still on a delay of about 7 business days they say. We will see soon enough. Anyways, when the last transfer is complete, (Epassporte has a $300 max. withdrawal limit per day) I will be off to Vegas the next few days thereafter. I've recieved a lot of support from friends and people in general who enjoy the game as well. To be fair to Full tilt, they have been responsive but the developments caused by Bush have taken a toll on us all in the poker community. I expect to do well in Vegas, if I didnt, believe me I would not be making the trip. I'll also let you in on another secret, I plan on playing in this years World Series Main Event! Hopefully I'll see some of you there. Until my next update, remember this, if life is a blank canvas and we're all artists, when im done, call me Picasso!

Turning Pro: UPDATE!
Ok, for those of you keeping track of my progress, here goes.To date, i've managed to turn my freeroll winnings of $15.00 into just over $2000. I know some might doubt the validity of this, but you can go to sharkscope.com and enter my name "nutstrut" on the Full tilt network and track my game. I believe it says somewhere in the neighborhood of $1700-$1800 profit last time i checked. Keep in mind that does not account for the ring games, which I've won somewhere around $600 there. So my mission online is accomplished! Next, if I can ever get my withdrawal processed because of this neteller fiasco, I should be in Vegas within the next 2 weeks. There my strategy is to start out with the smaller tourneys $40-$80 range, hopefully cash in a few, maybe win a few and move up to bigger tourneys as my bankroll allows. Update!Just recieved some disturbing news from Full tilt. Since neteller bit the bullet, I tried opening an account with epassporte and click2pay over 2 weeks ago. I've yet to recieve so much as an email from either one. I'm sure a result of Bush, the bill, and netellers demise here in the U.S. Now, i resorted to faxing over my info to full tilt to take advantage of their check request, which they say can be expedited to 2 day delivery with a fee of course, only to recieve another email from them saying the 2 day air option is not available, and my check should be recieved within 25-35 BUSINESS days!! Can you believe that? This has totally left me exhausted having to deal with this the past couple of weeks. Needless to say I wont be playing much online poker after my withdrawal is complete. The thought of someone tying up your money for weeks, in this case months at a time is totally unacceptable to me. I hope some of you feel the same way. I for one will not be at these poker sites mercy anymore!
good luck to you guys!

Turning Pro: UPDATE!
So I managed to turn my initial freeroll win of $15 into $50. I then made the deposit to Full tilt where I began playing the micro limits. I've managed in my first couple of days to increase my bankroll to $140. I've also started to play the SNG's, which are my specialty. Other than almost tossing my computer out the window a few times after the occasional bad beat, I guess I'm doing ok! Some of you who know me, have watched my progress and know I'm a little further along than the posts would indicate. The reason for this is, I'm actually further along than this, I'm just transferring my original journal to this forum to give others an accurate account of my journey! As of this date, I'm about 2 weeks from leaving for Vegas as I have already accumulated enough for the trip! To all the people who have wished me well and given support, I would like to give you a very sincere THANK YOU!

Turning Pro: Chasing the Dream!
I saw this article the other day. It was about this poker player who turned $1 into $20,000.00 in a few months playing poker. Now of course this guy was already and established Pro, in fact, he's considered to be one of the top players in the world. Now I play poker online for fun, sometimes live when i can, and I have to admit I've had some pretty good results. In fact, Ive won many online tournaments with as many as 5500 entries, not bad for an amateur!
So I had this idea, what if I could do the same thing, but instead of starting with a dollar, I'll start with nothing! I know youre probaly thinking how can you start with nothing? Well, its like this...I joined this poker site and created a new account. Not having any money or making any deposits, my only option for monetary gain was to play in a freeroll. Freerolls are tournaments open usually to any member of the site, and are free to enter. Most freerolls usually have small prizes involved, normally a few dollars. Well, I entered the next freeroll available and low and behold i won 1st place out of 845 entrants which paid me $15 dollars! I was elated! For those of you who actually play poker, you know that its not really the amount of the prize, but the satisfaction of winning a tournament is such an adrenaline rush. Once you experience it, youre Hooked! I knew there was no turning back. So the question then became,, How far can I take this, how much can I win, is there even a limit to what can be earned?
The answer is No, there is no limit, there is no ceiling unless I as an individual set one. So here's my idea, If a player is good enough to consistently beat the game, then realisticly there should be no ceiling on his or her earnings...at least thats what i aim to prove. I plan on winning enough money to go to Las Vegas for 30 days and play nothing but poker everyday. At the end of the 30 days, I should have a significant amount of money from winnings. Keep your fingers crossed.
I'll update you on how my winnings are coming along from the initial Freeroll winnings, and I can tell you right now that some of you will not believe the progress ive made, but its all documented. Ill be posting again in the next couple days, so check back please! And please let me know what you think my chances are, and whats a realistic amount to shoot for in 30 days?
